Catapult and Yapster announce upcoming partnership

Though 2019 is drawing to a close, we’ve still got time to welcome another new partner to the growing Yapster family.

Catapult connects passionate people with progressive companies in the retail and hospitality sectors, and they’re partnering with us to provide an easy way for our mutual customers to re-hire valued team members after they leave.

Here’s a little introduction to the new kid on the block...

MEET CATAPULT

Catapult, which launched in London in 2015, supports retail and hospitality businesses right across the UK and Germany. They’re trusted by big high-street names including Topshop, Clarks, Reiss, New Look and Marston’s Pubs.

To date, Catapult has succeeded in reducing core team turnover by 50%. Their ongoing mission is to empower its customers to manage the size and quality of their workforce, and in turn reduce recruitment time and increase productivity.

Our partnership with Catapult will widen access to flexible shift work for retail and hospitality leavers.

HOW IT WORKS

Catapult and Yapster have built an automated way for leavers to sign up to Catapult’s flexible hiring platform which connects people with available shifts.

Once candidates are onboarded to Catapult, they can work shifts for their previous employer and receive payment via the Catapult platform.

By generating what is essentially an alumni network for shift-based staff, companies can feel confident that they are maintaining consistency and high employee standards.

WHAT THE PARTNERS SAY

Steffen Wulff Petersen, co-founder of Catapult says:

"60% of retail managers say that employees quit because of scheduling conflicts. Through our partnership with Yapster, people can keep working for their past companies but with the added bonus of being able to choose their shifts. For employers, it means they get to keep great employees after they leave the business by allowing them to continue working shifts across their stores.”

Rob Liddiard, Co-founder and CEO of Yapster says:

“Everything we do is about helping brands to deliver the best possible customer experience through their people. The ability to access reliable, experienced staff is integral to this. We’re thrilled to be working with Catapult to help our customers stay connected with more of their ‘alumni’ and create a more efficient process for shift seekers and hiring companies alike. We hope to be rolling this out to pilot customers in the very near future.”
