Marketing Assistant (initial 3 month paid internship)


Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will support all of Yapster’s external marketing and communications in what is an exciting and rapid period of expansion for the business. This is a paid internship for an initial period of 3 months with the potential to extend or become a full time role.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Writing blogs, press releases and other commercial copy

  • Produce marketing materials - from presentations right through to tshirts!

  • Day-to-day project management of our events and marketing programmes

  • Supporting the team in posting to and managing Yapster’s social media channels

  • Work with Yapster’s webmaster to ensure the website is fully optimised and up to date

  • Help to maintain and grow our prospect lists

  • Helping out with projects we haven’t even dreamed up yet (which happens regularly!)


We are looking for the following attributes:

  • Excellent writing ability

  • A keen eye for detail

  • A positive, ‘can do’ attitude

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks

  • You consider yourself a ‘people person’ and feel comfortable communicating with lots of different personality types

  • An independent, creative and curious thinker

  • Social media literate - you don’t have to be a ‘guru’ or ‘ninja’, basic knowledge of the main platforms is fine

  • A love for, and experience of, the retail and hospitality industries would be a bonus

  • Ideally educated to degree level, but we care more about your experience and mindset than if or where you went to University
